Position: Full-time permanent Reporting to: Regional Manager – North Based: Home-based As Site Manager for Cheshire & Merseyside you will represent the Woodland Trust locally, managing our sites to deliver the maximum benefit for our core aims. You will ensure the safety of yourself, our visitors, contractors and volunteers on our sites, and manage the woodland estate in line with our required standards and guidelines. You will optimise supporter engagement, be a strong advocate for our work, values and beliefs, and influence others to act. You will have previous experience in land-based management in the conservation or forestry sector, a track record of successful partnership working and a proven responsibility for the management of Health and Safety on site. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be commercially and self-aware, be able to work collaboratively and be results focused. You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude and be determined to see the positives from even the most challenging situations. A full driving licence is essential along with the ability to undertake travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations. Occasional overnight stays will also be required.
