We work with project developers, buyers and intermediaries on the development of new projects, as well as with validators and verifiers who third-party check all projects. The Woodland Carbon Code team is part of the Policy and Practice team at Scottish Forestry. Scottish Forestry is an agency of Scottish Government. Our purpose is the sustainable management and expansion of forest and woodlands to deliver more for Scotland. What you will do The Woodland Carbon Code Co-ordinator will support the WCC team and regional teams to over-see the registration, validation, verification and promotion of woodland carbon projects across the UK. You will support project developers as they take projects through the Woodland Carbon Code validation and verification process; provide administrative and technical support to the Woodland Carbon Code team; help create and refine new administrative systems; and build strong working relationships with project developers delivering carbon projects. This is an opportunity to help shape a rapidly evolving work area to scale up our response to the climate emergency.
