Windfarm Technician

Title: Wind Turbine Technician

Location Cork

Business Unit: Energy Services 

Reporting to: Operations Manager Power Generation – Wind Power

Description:  Work as part of a team ensuring service schedules are adhered to 
Fault find and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems 
Report any faults or observations to the service co-ordinator 
Prepare service reports for completed work 
Keep all service records up to date 
Ensure all safety requirements are adhered to 
Carry out retrofits as required 
Attend additional training courses as required 
Cover weekends on a rota basis 
Attend operation meetings as required

Requirements: Ability to work for long periods of time at height 
Able to meet regular deadlines 
Competent to work under pressure 
Computer literate 
Organised and methodical 
Strong interpersonal skills 
Willing to be flexible

Essential skills/education/experience: 
Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering qualification or equivalent experience 
Full driving licence

NOTE: Successful candidates will be placed on a Wind Turbine course of training for approximately 6 months, during which time the new employee will receive, induction, on the job training and technical training.
