Meridian Energy is a state owned enterprise and New Zealand's largest renewable energy generator and developer, providing innovations in energy products and services. Our Head Office is based in Wellington and we own and operate seven hydro stations and four wind farms throughout New Zealand.

We're looking for a Wind Turbine Specialist to enable Meridian to continue to develop its internal capability. Essentially, you'll support the engineering team and the O&M team in maintaining our wind assets.

You will be responsible for providing technical support and quality assurance as well as training and guidance to ensure the day to day operation and maintenance of our Wind Farms is conducted in accordance with both Meridian's strategy and industry best practice.  This means ensuring high level workmanship, asset integrity and safety standards are maintained.

With significant turbine experience as an engineer or technician, ideally with the Siemens 2.3VS turbine platform, you'll bring extensive industry specific mechanical or electrical experience.  You'll interact positively with international turbine OEMs and other manufacturers and be experienced in turbine fault finding, fault analysis and performance monitoring/improvement.  Strong communication and relationship skills are also important along with a background in applying specialist knowledge, technical expertise and skills within a maintenance environment including the supervision and training of staff.
