Description

My client is an international market leader in the Chinese wind market. The have gone through extensive expansion with over the last 5-10 years and are looking to continue this growth throughout Europe and North America. They have a highly competitive product that will ensure they become the fastest growing start up on the international wind market. This is an opportunity to get in at the beginning and grow with the company on an international level.

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for the sales of wind turbines to the Canadian market, working to maintain and develop relationships with customers in order to achieve sales orders for my client. You will be expected to achieve targets in the region ensuring that you obtain sales agreements and ongoing customer satisfaction. You will report to the North American Business Development Manager in order to ensure that annual targets are achieved.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will have strong market connections in the wind industry and an understanding of the customer base that my client is looking to work with in Canada
  • ·         Create sales opportunities, establish networks, ‘open doors’ and be able to independently close on sales contracts
  • ·         Be informed regarding my clients main competitors and conduct market analysis that leads to in depth knowledge of the major competitors
  • ·         Represent my client at trade fairs in Canada and North America
  • ·         Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to maintain ongoing relationships with the customer indicative of further sales for my client

Education:-

Must be educated to BSc/MSc level in electrical/mechanical/civil engineering or related field of study

 

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         You will have 1-2 years sales experience, with a proven track record in turbine sales in the wind industry
  • ·         Must have have at least 2-4 years experience in the wind industry preferabbly with a manufacturer
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         Must be living or able to live in Canada without any visa requirements

 

 

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Ability to travel frequently across Canada and also internationally as required
  • ·         You must be fluent in English
  • ·         You wil be a self starter with a proven track record working independently
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • ·         Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in Canada, team leadership.
