Wind project manager, Texas

My client is a leading global wind energy company, developing large onshore wind farms in the US. They have a new opening for an onshore wind Commercial Project Manager for large onshore wind farms.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• You will be assigned a large scale project up to $100mn in value
• You will be expected to manage every commercial aspect of project and site management
• Management of all contract related issues
• Negotiation of terms and conditions
• Ensuring deadlines are met within project
• Financial planning and reporting; overseeing management accounting
• Defining and managing whole project execution

Skills and qualifications required:

• Experience managing large scale renewable energy or conventional power projects in the States with understanding of all of the relevant regulatory framework the project needs to address
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with a variety of external and internal counterparties
• Very strong financial knowledge and skills in relation to large scale energy projects
• Educated to MSC or MBA level in a related discipline
• Significant experience in this type of project management
• Highly developed communication and people management skills
• Purchasing, budgeting, reporting and project execution experience
