Wind Project Development Manager, UK.

As a leading provider of specialist technicians and project supervisors with a broad client list and impressive project record, my client is a global subcontractor to all of the major companies within the wind-turbine industry. Working in both the onshore and offshore sectors whilst commissioning projects all over the world, they are now looking for an experienced project development manager to help grow their business throughout the UK market.

Position Overview:
As the project development manager you will be required to proactively source new projects whilst utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to grow the business. The successful candidate must have a  minimum 3-5 years previous project development experience with a proven track record in the wind industry.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Take the lead and ensure that wind farm projects are fully compliant with contractual and customer requirements.
• ·         Identify, assess and create project development opportunities
• ·         Coordinating and managing on a regional basis
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
• ·         Oversee the prioritization of assignments, budgets and to organize and direct the flow of work to meet both internal and external expectations
• ·         Development of new projects
• ·         Developing strategies, plans and goals on a global scale with industry leaders

Education:-

• ·         Must have strong academic background in business or engineering

Core Requirements:-

• At least 3-5 years experience with a proven track record in the development and management of wind projects
• A strong background working in the onshore wind market

• ·         Excellent management skills
• ·         Be able to understand the total project development operation including material procurement and forecasting
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

Key Skills:-

Large-scale wind projects, team leadership, wind farm experience, experience with utilities
