We provide these services for utilities and independent power producers including; award winning Health & Safety management, HV system management, site performance analysis and optimisation, WindCentreTM 24/7 monitoring, commercial back office services. Natural Power continue to lead the industry in developing innovative procedures, systems and management tools for wind farms with the aim of ensuring our clients have a safe and productive site. Our managers on the ground are a key part of the team, supported through WindCentreTM, our central 24 hour management and control team who provide essential support to our wind farm managers throughout the UK.
Crystal Rig – Reporting into the Area Manager, this wind farm is located in East Lothian, South of Dunbar
Your primary role will be to perform technical, administrative and safety management duties.
Technical: Following training you will manage the High Voltage (HV) operations on site. You will be expected to achieve Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for HV management up to 33kV within 18 months. You will be willing to work at heights of up to 80m for the inspection of Wind Turbines. You will be expected to obtain a good understanding of the main systems and components of wind turbines.
Administrative: You will work with our WindCentre team to ensure all works on site are effectively planned, administered and recorded. You will manage operational budgets and complete reports for the site owner. You will support our analysis team in providing information to assist in site performance analysis.
Health and Safety: You will review safety documentation and personnel capabilities as required in advance of any site works, performing audits and checking the operations of contractors on site.
You will be a self-motivated individual able to effectively communicate at different levels with a variety of people in a distributed team.
The position will primarily be based on the wind farm sites in the area, however you will be called upon to support other operations in the UK, and should be prepared to spend several weeks a year working on other sites in other regions should the need arise. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the primary sites. You will be required to be part of an on call rota to provide 24 hour technical assistance to these wind farm sites.
