Wind Engineering Consultant, London, UK

My client is an internationally utilized renewable energy consultancy company. They specialize in providing the highest quality consultants to renewable energy developers. My client is in a rapid expansion stage of their company due to the increase in demand for their services and the growth of renewable energy projects across Europe. They are looking at setting up offices internationally and expanding their current team in London.

Position overview:  

My client requires a project engineering consultant to provide advice and constancy services on the engineering and construction of wind projects. You will report directly to the project manager or program manager whilst onsite and work as part of an ever growing team.

Responsibilities:

• ·         As a senior project engineer for the wind industry you will utilise staff from across the group to form large project teams
• ·         You will join and manage in a well reputed and globally recognised renewable energy consultancy
• ·         You will expand your abilities and have the opportunity to progress within an international company that has a large impact in the Wind sector
• ·         You will be involved in the design management of the wind turbine project implementation
• ·         You will gain contacts with suppliers and clients during the process of negotiation
• ·         You will utilize your knowledge on the implementation and development of wind farms while working with senior project managers
• ·         Provide ongoing advice throughout project construction
• ·         Work closely with the project management and ensure the appropriates responses are undertaken

Education:

A degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering

Core Requirements:

• ·         3-5 years working in project engineering or consultancy positions within the wind energy sector
• ·         Recent experience working in the wind sector
• ·         Excellent ability in developing client relationships with the contacts within the wind sector
• Excellent written and verbal English, with any other language skills a bonus
• ·         Experience managing large projects and utilising a large number of subcontractors          
• ·         Excellent problem solving abilities and resourcefulness

General Requirements:

• Ability to travel internationally

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Excellent presentation

Key requirements:

Strong planning and facilitating skills and experience working on onshore and offshore wind projects, Wind onshore and offshore
