My client is one of the leading international consultancies for the wind industry who is involved in the entire lifecycle including planning, developing, financing and constructing of wind farms. They have a proven track record in the renewable market and a strong desire to continue their advancement in the field.
Position Overview:
They are currently looking for a senior due diligence managers to be based in many of their offices in South Africa. You will report directly to the director of project management in the region and be responsible for off and onshore clients.
Responsibilities:
- Technical due diligence in the onshore and offshore wind industry across various sites in the South Africa
- You will be involved in project management overseeing the proposal stage through to the commissioning and constructing process
- Preparing the technical studies and critical review for the wind farm developments
- Providing technical support to engineers and contractors across the wind farm project in order to perform to the highest standard and ensure your growth within the company
- Utilizing your skills in risk analysis and mitigation within wind energy projects
Education:
Must have strong engineering or financial background
Core Requirements:
- 4-8 years working on project finance or project management in the wind industry
- Experience working in the African wind market is a bonus
- Fluent in English is a must with additional languages a bonus
- Experience working on an international level
- Experience in critical assessment and due diligence of investment opportunities
General Requirements:
- Ability to travel internationally
- Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- Excellent presentation
