My client is a leading developer within the Wind sector. They specialise in onshore wind farms, have a strong global presence within the wind industry along with an exceptional reputation and are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee their onshore operations and contribute to the continued success of the company.

Position Overview:  
As a construction manager for my clients company you will be required to oversee the construction and development of various on-shore wind farms throughout California. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, experience of managing construction teams on site, strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience of working on large wind farms.   

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Manage construction process from start to finish
  • ·         Manage due diligence process
  • ·         Oversee and manage teams with plans to expand
  • ·         Providing technical support to engineers and contractors across the wind farm project
  • ·         Performing as a leader and managing a team to ensure that the highest quality of work is performed within the renewable energy project
  • ·         Taking on a more senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project.
  • ·         Coordinate construction monitoring activity, construction progress and confirming environmental mitigation
  • ·         Travel to project sites in remote areas across all parts of the country
  • ·         Gather written reports from independent engineers and technical specialists
  • ·         Assemble, edit and present both incremental and final reports to clients.
  • Involved in day to day operation of multiple projects and crew management

Education:-

  • ·         Must have strong educational background in either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Core Requirements:-

  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in the wind industry with a proven track record in construction management of large-scale projects
  • ·         A strong background working in the onshore wind market  
  • ·         Excellent management skills
  • ·         A strong technical background working on wind farm projects

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel
  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
