Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must have experience in nest surveys (monitoring and locating nests) with any species of plover or tern, and experience in identifying potential nest predators (bird and mammal) through tracks, sight, or calls. Applicants should be able to identify snowy plovers (by sex), least terns, and other shorebirds found in coastal habitat, locate nests in beach habitat, and identify mammal (coyote, opossum, raccoon, rabbit, weasel, and squirrel) and avian (raven, turkey vulture, gull, shrike) sign. Experience with GPS units and excel is useful.Must have a B.S. in wildlife, biology, environmental science, or related science major.
