Do you have a passion for the environment, a good working knowledge of the charity sector, and demonstrable experience in leadership, management, and organisational development? Would you like to make a real difference for wild brown trout and the rivers they call home?
We’re seeking a new Chair for our Board of Trustees, and would love to hear from you. This exciting voluntary position is opening due to our current Chair, Dr Graham Coley, stepping down in autumn 2025 — we’d like to warmly thank Dr Coley for his years of dedication in the role.
The Wild Trout Trust is a small, dynamic charity that works across the UK and Ireland. We restore the health of rivers and empower others to care for these important habitats. Our namesake, the brown trout, is a beloved wildlife icon, but also a powerful indicator of river condition and a key part of freshwater ecosystems. This means that by improving rivers for wild brown trout, we support an enormous range of other species.
With your help, we can do even more crucial conservation work than we do today! As Chair of our Board of Trustees, you’ll have an essential role in our development; as such, we’re seeking someone with a passion for the environment (especially water-related wildlife and habitats) and the vision to help strengthen and expand our ambition over the coming years.
Applications close at midnight on Friday 30th May 2025. Further details on the position, and information on how to apply, can be found in the document linked below. If you’d like an informal chat about the role, please call the WTT Director of Operations, Shaun Leonard, on 07974 861908
