Description

RenewableUK is the UK’s leading renewable energy trade association, specialising in onshore wind, offshore wind and wave & tidal energy. Formed in 1978, we have an established, large corporate membership ranging from small independent companies, to large international corporations and manufacturers.

Acting as a central point of information and a united, representative voice for our membership, we conduct research; find solutions; organise events, facilitate business development, lobby and promote wind and marine renewables to government, industry, the media and the public.

The Role-

Our new website will be a key tool to enable us to share information, promote our activities and events, and support our members. Following investment in new web technology and content management and customer relationship management systems, we are creating the new post of Web Manager to ensure we maximise the potential of these technologies and the website as a tool for reaching our members and other stakeholders.

As a standalone role, this is a great position for someone who is looking to have responsibility for all aspects of a website. Consequently we’re looking for a “jack of all trades” generalist Web Manager who is comfortable on the one hand with coaching colleagues on web writing and speaking with authority to web developers on the other.

As Web Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the website working closely with the IT department and external suppliers to ensure systems integration, functionality, stability and security are maintained. You will also drive content generation either by producing content yourself including graphics, or by supporting colleagues to produce web-appropriate content through training and developing web style standards. At the same time an important part of your role will be looking forward at how the website can be continuously developed, including how to integrate bespoke databases with the website.

The Person-

Working as part of a small marketing team, you will enjoy taking ownership of the website and leading our online engagement with stakeholders. With proven relevant experience of managing complex web and CMS/CRM systems, you will be a generalist with a strong software and technical skills base along with experience of generating content for complex audiences. Proven experience of web data analysis, SEO and evaluation in order to lead the longer term developments to the website is also required.

To Apply-

If you wish to be considered, please apply no later than 18th June 2012, by sending your CV and a covering letter, giving your present salary and notice obligations to info@renewableuk.com.

The job description and person specification is available here and the PDF version of the advert here.

Deadline for applications: 18 June 2012

Interviews are likely to take place on 25-26 June 2012
