Description
We are currently looking for someone with a passion for all things web and e-related to ensure that our website and online activity run smoothly at all times.
WWF is one of the world's largest global conservation organisations. Our remit is wide: protecting endangered species and habitats on the one hand and tackling important issues such as climate change and sustainable homes on the other. Whether we're communicating with the public via the WWF website or our own employees by way of the intranet, the quality of the online information we provide is crucial.

The website has grown to become a key audience engagement tool that supports our programmatic, campaigning and fundraising activities, as well being one of our most powerful communication channels. You will ensure our website and online activity run smoothly at all times as well as be responsible for the technical build of new areas as well as, in liaison with the Intranet Editor, the development of existing and new functionality on our intranet. You will participate in a broad range of web-supporting activities from analysing web data, ensuring synergy between WWF-UK's internet and intranet as well as making appropriate use of new developments in web technology.

With a passion for all things web and e-related, you'll combine organisational skills with excellent technical skills. You should have excellent skills in HMTL, XHMTL, XML, CSS and Javascript as well a thorough working knowledge of server and database technologies, in particular Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and know one of the following; Ruby on rails, PHP, Coldfusion, ASP.Net, ASP, Jscript, Java.

You'll enjoy working on a number of projects at once, and be used to working to tight deadlines using your excellent communication skills. Attention to detail is vital, as is creative problem solving. You'll also have a keen interest in, and understanding of, WWF and environmental issues in general.
