We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person with a passion for the natural environment and experience of wet grassland management to help manage Rainham Marshes Reserve, our award-winning flagship site for both wildlife and people in Greater London, Essex. You will play a lead role in delivering the programme of habitat management, monitoring, habitat creation & people engagement on this large reserve and will be responsible for managing and overseeing staff and a team of volunteers in implementing the work. You will need previous reserve management experience, practical experience of managing wetland habitats, particularly low wet grassland, including grazing management and livestock handling and you should have experience in a variety of tools and machinery. Applicants should ideally be educated to degree level or have an equivalent environmental qualification.
