Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated people to join the team. You will contribute to the development and implementation of capabilities and processes necessary to support current and future regulatory functions of the Division. As regulatory initiatives progress, responsibilities may change to ensure that Departmental needs are met. Therefore the successful candidate must be able to work as a team member in a high pressure environment with shifting priorities.

As a general guide duties may include:

1. Lead a team to manage one or more functions to support effective regulation under the relevant legislation.

2. Contribute to the effective management of the section, including supervision and mentoring of staff.

3. Develop and maintain relationships within the Department, other agencies and industry stakeholders.

4. Interpret legislation to manage regulatory processes and procedures for registration, data collection, analysis, assessment and assimilation and the preparation of reports.

5. Develop and oversight preparation of high quality material such as briefs, ministerial correspondence, contracts, fact sheets, guidelines, web material and presentations.

6. Contribute to the guidance and professional development of staff.
