Post Title: Volunteer Scientific Diver Context: Nature Seychelles, a leading environmental NGO in the Western Indian Ocean, has an opportunity for 2 volunteer scientific divers to assist with the implementation of a coral reef restoration project in the Seychelles (for more information about the project, please refer to http://natureseychelles.org/what-we-do/coral-reef-restoration Over a period of 2 months, volunteer Scientific Divers will assist the Reef Restoration Specialist with the daily running of a reef restoration project, at an island resort on Felicite, Seychelles. Alongside learning about innovative techniques in reef restoration, primary tasks will include; transplantation of nursery-grown colonies, nursery maintenance and ecological monitoring. Working hours will be 08:30-16:30 during weekdays, typically conducting up to two dives a day (weather permitting). The post holders may also be required to assist with data analysis, scientific report writing and the preparation and maintenance of dive equipment. Skills and requirements: Essential

Conditions
Base location: Split between Felicite and Praslin, Republic of Seychelles. Felicite: Six Senses, Zil Pasyon resort – 2 people sharing a room, all meals provided, with the possibility of spending weekends off the island. Praslin: Nature Seychelles, Island Conservation Centre - Shared dormitory, including kitchen and bathroom. No meals provided.
