All Ages Project Volunteer Officer As an All Ages Project Volunteer Officer you will receive training in project management of practical environmental conservation projects. As well as ongoing training while you lead / co-lead practical conservation volunteering groups to carry out a range of activities including woodland management, hedge laying, footpath construction and grassland management. As well as small construction projects within schools and community gardens e.g. food growing areas. You will be provided with supervision & training in managing volunteers and to ensure you have a rounded experience in environmental leadership you will also be provided with opportunities to produce publicity, project quotes, plan & deliver events & represent TCV Wakefield at formal events This is an excellent opportunity for anyone contemplating a career in environmental conservation. You will receive in-house training delivered by experts in this field to develop your practical skills & knowledge essential for a career within this sector. As well as formal courses in Leadership, Midas, Risk Assessment, First Aid, Safeguarding etc. At Wakefield we work with a diverse range of volunteers, and to ensure we are responsive to our volunteer needs we include a package of inclusion training to all our Volunteer Officers. We have a keen interest supporting our Volunteer Officer’s individual development and progression into employment and will provide individual support with CV development. Essential to this role are excellent communication / people skills, a strong commitment to environmental issues and a drivers license over 2 years is desirable though not essential.
