This project cares for and rehabilitates animals that have been rescued from illegal captivity (e.g. circuses, animal dealers or people's homes). Volunteers can choose to work at the main refuge which has a wide variety of animals or one of the other refuges which predominately care for felines (e.g. pumas, jaguars and ocelots). There are no entry requirements are everyone is welcome.
The cost is dependent on which refuge you choose to work, starting at £145 for 15 days which includes accommodation, three meals per day and use of communal facilities.
You can view full project details and apply through the Volunteer Latin America website.
