This is a unique opportunity to live at a base camp just outside a spectacular National Park on the Zambezi River and be part of an effective conservation project. Volunteers will be accommodated in an en-suite safari tent overlooking the Zambezi River and will be living amongst iconic wildlife such as elephant and hippo. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain environmental management experience in Africa whilst helping a worthwhile cause and really making a difference. The project is currently looking for volunteers to fill the following roles: construction assistant (to help with housing and camp maintenance); GIS assistant (to develop the current GIS system and train personnel); and administrative assistant (help with hosting visitors, supervising and training camp staff, basic accounts and marketing). Positions open until filled.
The project costs £365 per month which includes food and accommodation at the base camp.
