This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the management team of one of the longest established and most popular RSPB reserves. Fairburn Ings is at the heart of the wider Aire Valley Reserve, which with the proposed development of the St Aidan's site has the potential to become the most visited RSPB site in the country.

You will be responsible for the management and development of the visitor experience at RSPB Fairburn Ings. The shop, events, membership recruitment, interpretation, communications and marketing will all be under your control. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the new reserve and Visitor Centre at St Aidan's and to improving the catering offer at Fairburn Ings.

You will ideally have proven management experience in a retail environment or visitor facility; a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers; and comprehensive budget skills.

An interest in nature conservation is desirable, but not essential.

Salary

£18,000 to £20,000 pa
