A. Villa Jühling exists since 1992 in Halle/Saale. In the house we have during a one year period 4000 kids und young people. During their stay here they work in projects and seminars and spend their free time. A lot of projects and seminars are on topics like: social learning or natural education which are supported and lead by workers from Villa Jühling. In Villa Jühling work 6 employers, 2-3 civilian workers, 1 FÖJ, 1 FSJ and a lot of freelancers. Center and area of the project Villa Jühling is operating in Halle/Saale, Sachsen-Anhalt region. Halle has about 230 000 citizens and is a University city. There is a lot of social and cultural life in the city: theatres, cinemas, libraries, swimming-pools, discos, museums and pubs. The social and economical situation is not so good because of the high unemployment rate.
B. Villa Jühling will support social and voluntary engagement for young people. We expect that EVS people can realize their ideas through different projects and already existing projects.
Service and possibility to be learned by the volunteer: the volunteer has - the opportunity to live in another country and work there - the opportunity to learn another culture and language. The volunteer is a responsible worker in the organization. He/she has a lot of different tasks and he/she also has much time as much as he needs to realize his/her own project. He/she is supported by his mentor. From our view the volunteer can take the following responsibilites: - participation in walking with kids through the forest - participation in seminars and freetimes - making his own projects - taking over organisational and technical jobs - participation in intercultural seminars - taking over jobs in house - visiting a language course - participation in team meetings - contact with the sending organization - taking part in different seminars
C. The volunteer should work independently and also on his/her own project. It would be an adventage if he/she could understand a bit of German language, and also has a bit of experience in work with youth and kids. Sex:-- Age: must be over 18
D. - E. In the Villa Jühling the volunteer works under the terms of the existing law and safety standards. According to this he/she will get a detailed instruction and briefing. Mrs. Dorothee Fischer will be the professional tutor. She is also responsible for all the things resp. problems according to the work place. Regularly the volunteer will have consultations with his/her mentor, to clarify personal questions (about living, intercultural life, team etc.). In case of heavy conflicts a third person will be engaged, to find solutions which are satisfactory to all parties.

During their time here they work on projects and seminars and spend their free time. A lot of projects and seminars are focused on topics like: natural education and social learning which are supported and lead by the staff of the Villa Jühling. We have 6 employers, 2-3 civilian workers, 1 FÖJ, 1 FSJ and a lot of freelancers. Villa Jühling is situated and operating in Halle (Saale), which is in the Sachsen-Anhalt region, about 30 km westwards from Leipzig and has approx. 230 000 citizens. Halle is an University city. There is a lot of social and cultural life in the city itself. There are a lot of theatres, cinemas, museums, librarys. Because of a high unemployment rate the social and economical situation in Halle isn't so good. A lot of young people leave the city after school and look for jobs elsewhere.
The house Villa Jühling is a beautiful place and situated in a forest.
