My client is one of the leading developers of renewable energy projects. They develop, construct and operate a number of wind and solar parks through out the US and Europe.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will responsible for leading a team of experienced developers and helping to further develop the companies portfolio of solar and wind projects.
Responsibilities:-
- Taking a leading role in all development processes
- Management of a regional group of developers
- Coordinating project economics
- Continuously assessing the profitability of projects and successful development, including the preparation of land for construction
- Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
- Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
- Proactively sourcing new projects to grow the business
- Liaise with onsite project developers, project managers and construction managers to ensure punctual completion of all solar and wind projects
- Representing the company to local authorities, stakeholders and utilities
- Keeping up to date with market dynamics and implementing marketing strategies
- Supporting in the negotiations of sales agreements for solar and wind projects
Education:
- Strong educational background, undergraduate degree in engineering and/or business related field (Masters degree is highly desirable)
Core Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years working experience as a developer for renewable energy projects
- Proven experience managing utility scale solar and/or wind projects
- Proven managerial experience
- Previous experience negotiating the contract and sales agreements for utility scale solar and wind projects
- In depth understanding of Western energy market
- Must have a strong understanding of technical matters, the ability to think in an economic perspective and experience of project development
