Utility Project Developer
Borrego Solar Systems, Inc, a growing, solar energy design, engineering and installation company, seeks an experienced Utility Project Developer for our Berkeley, CA office.
About the position:
The primary purpose of this position is to help implement strategies to develop solar power plants for utilities across the US. The primary objective of this position within the utility development team is to identify and develop business with municipal, cooperative and investor owned utilities in target states in North America.

Desired Qualifications:
• 5 years experience in power plant or real estate development
• Understanding of utility regulatory environment
• Experience performing financial models and calculations (ROI, IRR, NPV, APR, etc)
• Strong math and computer skills
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Project, OneNote and Word
• Works well with a team but also is a self starter
• Four year college degree required, Master’s preferred
Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Develop and support the achievement of utility sales goals
• Identifying utility targets and sites in target areas
• Oversight of projects through the development process
• Creation of development budgets and schedules
• Coordinate with internal and external team members
• Development of key customer relationships and partnerships
• Develop strategic and tactical development execution plans
• Work interdepartmentally to ensure opportunities are developed efficiently
