My client is one of the leading renewable energy providers globally. They specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions.
Position Overview:
The Sr. Technical manager is the technical leader of the technical squad to support project development in due diligence, system design review, EPC partner evaluation and relation management, construction management, and acceptance testing.
Responsibilities:-
- 1. Site walk and perform due diligence on site
- 2. Run production simulation and support financial modeling
- 3. Participate in site permitting application by providing all information related to PV system design and construction
- 4. Oversee and provide instructions for preliminary system design including site layout, BOS selection
- 5. Lead interconnection design and study application
- 6. Review and approve project due diligence reports
- 7. Lead evaluation of EPC partners and manage the relation
- 8. Participate in the EPC contract drafting and negotiation by providing technical advice
- 9. Lead and approve review of system design and construction plan
- 10. Lead and approve system acceptance testing
- 11. Oversee the project development technical support procedure and propose improvement plan
Education:-
- 1. Minimum BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Core Requirements:-
- 2. Professional Certificate Requirement: project management training at least, PMP preferred
- 3. Relevant Working Experience:
- a. Utility scale PV project tech due diligence (1-2 years)
- b. Utility scale PV project design (3-5 years)
- c. Project construction and management
- 4. Skill and knowledge required:
- a. Deeply understand principles of PV module, power system, power conditioning, interconnection
- b. Competent in system design, layout, DC wiring calculation, inverter sizing, production simulation
- c. Familiar with PV system construction approaches, regulations, and devices
- d. Skill in the PVSyst production prediction is desired
- e. Excellent management skill and leadership
- 5. Authorized to work in the US

Key Skills:
