An up to one year maternity cover contact to proactively target key landowners around England's remaining twite colonies in the South Pennines. The post holder will work closely with Natural England to facilitate agri-environment scheme and voluntary management agreements on this land and will oversee the implementation of habitat restoration under these agreements. Provision of advice to existing landowner contacts will also be a core element of the job. Management of survey volunteers and a close working relationship with the RSPB twite research & monitoring project will also be required. The successful candidate will require a good understanding of upland agriculture and agri-environment schemes and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
