Turbine Load Engineer, Bristol, UK

My client is a part of one of the worlds largest companies in the world. They have a market presence across a wide range of sectors and is a major player in the international market. They are developing new technology to rival their main competitors in the wind industry and are looking to ensure that they secure the best talent in order to achieve this.

Position Overview:

My client is currently looking for a Turbine Load Engineer to provide senior management experience in the design, calculation and analysis’ of turbine loads. You will report directly to the team leader in the department and manage the relationships between other engineering teams and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

•              Design and development of load calculation, managing the major decisions in regards the load calculation

•              You will utilise your knowledge of load calculation that is gained from other manufacturing companies

•              Provide input into the design and implementation process of the load calculation of wind turbine generators

•              Perform due diligence advice when required as part of a particular project audits and present results to relevant managers

•              Work alongside other key engineers as part of a team in the development of calculations

Education:

Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree minimum

Core Requirements:-

• ·         4-8 years experience in the wind industry
• Several years of experience working on multi MW wind turbine generators
• ·         Experience working for a major manufacturer of wind turbine
• ·         A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
• ·         Highly organised with a proven ability to project manage where necessary

General Requirement

•              Ability to travel for extended periods of time

•              Knowledge of related regulatory issues

•              Ideally the candidate would be a member of relative professional institutions
