The turbine engineer will be required to provide support and expertise to all areas of my client`s wind business, from site development through to turbine selection, construction and operation across all markets. Engineer, London, UK GBP30,000K – GBP40,000K + bonus + benefits

My client is a global leader within the wind sector, delivering services world wide for market leading developers, manufacturers, consultants and operators. They are now looking for a Turbine Engineer to join their team in London, UK. They have an international market reputation and a proven track record in the on and offshore wind market. rnrnnPosition Overview: nThe turbine engineer will be required to provide support and expertise to all areas of my client`s wind business, from site development through to turbine selection, construction and operation across all markets. rnrnnResponsibilities:-n- Reviewing the turbine technology and conducting assessments of turbine suitabilityn- Coordinating major component failure investigations n- Investigate transformer operational failures n- Making sure that appropriate turbines are picked on a project by project basisn- Produce reports and review specificationsn- Perform turbine reliability studies as well as developing models for turbine performance analysisrnrnnEducation:-nMust have a degree in either electrical or mechanical engineerrnrnnCore Requirements:-n- Excellent communication skills enabling effective discussion and transfer of information between areas of the business and turbine manufacturersn- The ability to manage several projects and high work loads with demanding timescalesn- Strong investigative skills – design experience and/or failure analysis would be a significant advantagen- The ability to work as part of a team, both leading and as a key member, influencing decisions and reacting positively to challenges as the investigation/study evolven- Strong reporting and presentation skills with a good working knowledge of MS OfficernrnnGeneral Requirements:-rnrn- Ability to traveln- Ability to work alone as well as part of a teamn- Full UK Drivers License rnrnKey Skills:-nWind, electrical or mechanical engineering, offshore, turbine analysis, matlab, major component failure investigationsn
