Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and devoted student for an internship (bachelor thesis is possible) in the Bavarian Alps in a research area close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen during a 4 weeks period in summer 2012. In our project we are studying the effects of climate change on plant phenology and biodiversity. Therefore, we will carry out field work in summer 2012, studying altitudinal (temperature) gradients in the Alps to find out the plant species ability to adapt to changes in temperature which are also occurring during climate change. We want to find out whether there are any links in between phenological and ecophysiological traits.

The task for the intern/the bachelor candidate would be to help with recording data in the field (A/Ci curves, measurements of Chlorophyll fluorescence, phenological studies) which could also be used to compose a bachelor thesis which could be supervised by the University of Regensburg.

For additional information, feel free to contact us or write an application including a short letter of interest and your CV to the address below.
