Technology Manager, Solar, South California

My client is part of a global project development company operating in the solar and wind power sectors. Due to further increasing their market share and ambitious growth plans over the next 2-4 years they now have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Manager to join their team.

The key area for expansion is within their solar business.

This is an outstanding opportunity giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work on large utility scale solar projects.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for the engineering and design of utility scale solar systems.  You will be responsible for the development of systems design and engineering as well as be responsible for commercial, industrial PV systems design, engineering, implementing

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Feasibility Studies and Analysis
• ·         Solar site assessments
• Developing electrical and structural system designs
• ·         Proposal preparation and presentations

Education:-

• ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• 5+ Years in an engineering management role

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems
• Electrical design experience
• ·         Direct management of hardware systems products in the solar PV market.

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
