My client is a leading producer of solar modules and systems, with a strong global reach and a highly impressive track record and are looking for a Technology Director to join their team in Erfurt, Germany.
Position Overview:
My client is seeking a Technology Director with several years experience in both the technical and commercial aspects of the solar industry. Reporting directly to the owner/CEO based in Germany, you will be tasked with overseeing all technical operations throughout Germany and Europe.
Responsibilities:-
- · Responsibility for both profit and loss
- · Build-up and maintain the R&D and strategic network
- · Taking charge of the technical and organizational interests throughout Germany
- · Development and optimization of new and existing products
- · Developing and managing key accounts
- Technical responsibility for the ramp up of new production line
- Planning of new production facilities and vertical integration
- · Liaising with both administrative and political authorities
- Act as a go-between and find appropriate local partners (technicians, engineers, building planners, HSE officers etc.)
- Supervise and oversee of all matters on the technical side
- Liaise with onsite project developers to ensure punctual completion of solar projects
Education:-
- · Must have a very strong academic background with a degree/masters/Ph.D in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Core Requirements:-
- At least 7-10 years relevant work experience, preferably including photovoltaic industry
- Must have experience in the analyses, set up and optimization of processes
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- The successful candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- Exceptional presentation skills
