For the Walney Offshore Wind Farm we are seeking electrical and mechanical technicians to join our O&M team based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. Your profile An apprenticeship with City & Guilds and a complete electrical or mechanical certificate are essential. A BTEC ONC in electrical or mechanical engineering would be advantageous, but not essential. It is important that you are willing to work in a team and are prepared to enter into a rota system. The role is shift based, and your working hours will therefore vary. Furthermore, you must be prepared to enter into a scheduled training programme lasting approximately one year. The training programme includes stays on other DONG Energy offshore wind farms both in the UK and Denmark, and you will participate in construction projects both onsite and on other locations in the UK and Europe. An aptitude for working at height and offshore is essential.
