Salary: USD 33,000 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 31 January 2020, with potential to extend subject to need and funding availability

Location: Konia, Lofa County, Liberia, with regular travel to the Monrovia head office and other project sites in Liberia (Wonegizi PPA, Wologizi PPA) and Guinea (Ziama MAB)

FFI is seeking an experienced biodiversity conservation professional to fulfil the role of Technical Specialist, Biodiversity, ZWW Landscape, assuming responsibility for the oversight of a programme of biodiversity survey and biomonitoring initiatives across the ZWW landscape in Guinea and Liberia.

You will have a strong track record in biodiversity research, project management and capacity building. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential to the role to ensure a professional and motivated team that delivers effectively against project aims, objectives and timelines.

You will be skilled in providing strategic advice and technical input to the design, development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of projects, and have advanced skills in biodiversity quantitative and qualitative data collection and data analysis. The role also requires a skilled and credible communicator, who is confident in developing and managing relationships with partner organisations and relevant stakeholders, including donors and funders.
