Technical Solar PV Project Manager, Italy

My client is a leading engineering consultancy specializing in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. They have a first class professional engineering and project management team with a vocation for leadership in the global market. Their portfolio of activity areas aside from solar PV systems include solar thermal systems, wind, biomass and bio energy, energy and tidal waves, waste treatment and cogeneration. They have a strong presence in designing and installing systems across Europe, with a focus in Italy and Spain and plans for growth.

A position has become available for a technical Solar PV project manager based out of North Italy to work on solar plants ranging from 1 MW to 72 MW.  Working as part of a very well respected technical team you will be expected to work autonomously on occasion and therefore will need to have previous experience of working as a solar PV technician in the solar PV market.

Responsibilities include:

• Working on sites, assessing capacity, foreseeing and addressing potential hurdles in relation to electrical engineering within the context of building the solar PV installation
• Explaining designs to clients where necessary
• Working closely with the sales team and other photovoltaic systems designers to ensure installations are designed, built and delivered to spec
• Travelling frequently to deal with electrical installations on site

Skills and qualifications needed:

• Experience of testing and design of solar PV systems above 500kw
• Management experience in electrical engineering solar PV context
• Passionate about the photovoltaic industry
• On Site Technical Solar PV Skills
• Understanding of grid connected and off grid PV systems
• General knowledge of different types of solar PV modules
• Fluent in Italian
