Technical solar PV Consultant, Southeast England

My client is a rapidly growing solar PV designer and developer in the UK. They are looking to hire a consultant with extensive solar PV knowledge to advice them on the packaging of their products and their clients on the technicalities of solar PV panels and solar thermal systems. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of solar PV module design. They will also have acquired knowledge on how to package solar PV products for different levels of client. The role requires someone who is able to translate the technicalities solar PV products to customers and clients who have a simpler understanding of the products. The hire will also be required to carry out a degree of business development by canvassing potential clients, especially commercial clients with large scale projects; as such a background in business development would be valuable.

Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

• ·         Consulting on the packing of all solar products to suit the client
• ·         Liaising with clients to ensure they have an understanding of the products
• ·         Ensuring that contact between the company and their clients in constant and guarantees the profitability of the company
• ·         Canvassing potential business through detailed presentations about solar PV products
• ·         Ensuring that the company remains updated on the current technical developments in solar PV products

Requirements:

• ·         5+ years solar PV experience
• ·         Thorough understanding of solar PV design and panel components
• ·         Business development experience
• ·         Extensive solar contact base within the UK
• ·         Degree in environmental sciences or related field
• ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills
