My client has been a global player in the energy market for over a decade and have developed, manufactured and operated over 20,000 MW throughout this time. They are a major player in the wind industry and have a global reputation for quality and understanding.

 

Position Overview:

My client requires an experienced technical sales expert to lead the growth of the company in the Australian market. This is a senior management position involving continued team development and company expansion through market connections and sales techniques. You will repost directly to the Asia Pacific Director in one of the most recognised wind companies in the world. My client is willing to relocate the rights candidate with the appropriate experience.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will manage a pipeline of opportunities whilst maintaining excellent relationships with current and previous customers in order to ensure project opportunities in the future
  • ·         You will lead a team of negotiators, business developer and project developers working on a variety of project negotiations across Australia and New Zealand
  • ·         You will lead negotiations in sales of wind turbines to developers in the area and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
  • ·         You will work on expanding the companies use on PSL’s with wind farm developers and other clients
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with developers, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the Australian and New Zealand market.
  • ·         Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
  • ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

 

Education:-

Science or Engineering discipline degree minimum, with PHD or MSc preferable

 

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 7-10 years experience in the wind industry, with a proven track record in B2B negotaiations
  • You will have at least 1-3 years expereince in a sales or business development role
  • ·         Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         A background in the technical element of wind development
  • ·         Excellent report writing ability

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites and internationally
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in Australia and New Zealand, wind turbine manufacturer, developer, energy, management is a bonus and team leadership.
