World Land Trust (WLT) is at the forefront of international conservation efforts through our programme of land purchase and land acquisition in collaboration with our international partners, including the development of carbon and other payments for ecosystem services projects. WLT is now seeking a Technical Officer whose role will be to support our Conservation Programmes team in the expansion of our conservation work, primarily providing analytical support in the creation of new projects and monitoring of existing projects. What you will doing This is a new opportunity to help build on WLT’s ongoing achievements in implementing effective conservation projects around the world. You will be working closely with other Conservation Programme team members to provide technical support for the establishment, development and monitoring of new and existing projects, including our Carbon Balanced and REDD+ projects. This role may include periods of travel (sometimes at short notice) and the need to work independently, including providing support and working in close collaboration with international partners and WLT colleagues. Who we are looking for An excellent knowledge and experience of fieldwork, spatial and ecological data analyses, monitoring and GIS will be essential for this role, and with preference for a candidate with experience in landscape and biodiversity conservation. You will have good communication skills and be able to translate technical reports and assessments to a wide range of audiences. You will be passionate about wildlife conservation, and committed to furthering the mission and ethos of WLT. Main duties and responsibilities

Location The role is based at the World Land Trust’s headquarters in Halesworth, Suffolk, UK.
