CSIRO Plant Industry is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Officer to assist a team of scientists in the evaluation of wheat germplasm. 

  • As part of a team, assist with the building and maintenance of poly-tunnels with elevated CO2 and varying temperatures.
  • Assist with the conduct of field experiments that evaluate the interactive effect of high CO2 and temperature on existing wheat germplasm with defined traits
  • Ensure that procedures are carried out as specified
  • Record data accurately in databases and maintain data integrity
  • Help build CSIRO’s research reputation for integrated and multi-disciplinary science related to improved N uptake in cereals
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of a research team and help deliver upon CSIRO’s organizational objectives.
