A global manufacturer of wind turbine blades with an exceptional reputation throughout the wind industry, my client has offices throughout the USA and Canada and are looking for an experienced Technical Field Service Leader to join their team in Colorado, USA.
Position Overview:
My client is seeking an exceptional Technical Field Service Leader to manage multiple wind projects in their assigned geographical regions throughout the USA. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading blade manufacture in a senior and hands on capacity.
Responsibilities:-
- · Ensure that all deadlines and budget expectations are met for each individual wind project
- · Oversee all the repair, inspection and maintenance carried out on each project
- · Take responsibility for ensuring that all health and safety requirements are met to the highest standard
- · Take ownership of all aspects of the various wind projects
- · Drive the integration of controls, loads, drive train, rotor, generator and structures
- · Troubleshoot complicated mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of wind turbine
- · Perform electrical analysis and diagnostics
Education:-
- · Must have a degree in a relevant Engineering field such as Mechanical, Civil or Electrical
Core Requirements:-
- 7+ years of proven technical field experience within the wind industry
- A proven track record of leadership and team management
- · Must be familiar with several different types of wind turbines
- · Be able to understand the total design and development process of wind turbines
- · Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Experience of commissioning wind turbine
- · Familiarity of all aspects of the wind turbine rotor structure including hub, pitch drives and bearings, main shaft and blade interfaces.
