Technical Development Manager, Copenhagen, Denmark

My client is a large scale international utility company that in involved in the development of wind farms internationally. Their team in Denmark is looking to expand due to increased demand in the industry and the expansion of the company as a whole.

Position Overview:

My client is looking to recruit a Technical Development Manager in order to grow the company’s influence in the Danish market and oversee the project development through to construction process. You will be working closely with the country manager of the company across Denmark in order to reduce costs and manage projects to the standards of the company.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Oversee the development and construction of wind farms
• ·         Develop relationships and gain exceptional contacts in the market
• •         Management of technical aspects such as wind assessment analysis, data storage management and availability, layout definition and optimization; grid connection point availability, data management and project designing
• •         Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff
• •         You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of wind projects
• •         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
• •         Team coordination at a national and international level

Education:-

A degree in either Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         3-8 years experience working in the wind industry
• •         Specific experience in Business Development of wind farms or production plants is a bonus
• •         Must be fluent in English with Danish a bonus
• •         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
• •         Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

General Requirement

• •         Ability to travel internationally
• •         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
• •         Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, negotiations experience, business development, large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
