Duties 
• Support the development of Australia's international policy on reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries (REDD+), with a focus on providing advice on the technical dimensions of REDD+, including forest sector carbon accounting.
• Prepare documentation in relation to this, including submissions to the UNFCCC.
• Represent Australia in international negotiations on REDD+.
• Manage components of Australia's bilateral assistance programs in relation to REDD+.
• Contribute to the broader work of the REDD+ team.
 
Eligibility 
This position is a security assessed position. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a security assessment to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
