Leicestershire County Council has made a commitment to reduce our own carbon emissions to net zero by 2030 and to achieve net zero across Leicestershire by 2045. We’ve already made good progress – we’ve reduced our carbon emissions by more than 70% since 2009.  To help us achieve our goal, we are recruiting a Team Manager for Carbon Reduction.  You will be working with colleagues across the organisation and with partners to deliver our Net Zero Strategy and Action Plan.

As well as having current technical knowledge, we’re looking for someone who works well with other people and can use their influence to get things done.



ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent qualification
  • Contributing to the development of high-quality policies and strategies in order to achieve the strategic outcomes of an organisation.
  • Successful management and delivery of projects, including experience of resolving organisational and cross-cutting service issues.
  • Successfully working in partnership with key stakeholders across the public, private and voluntary sectors to deliver outputs and outcomes particularly at a senior and strategic level.
  • Build powerful relationships across stakeholders, peers and partners, creating open and transparent relationships based on trust.
