Project: · The main project purpose is to understand the legal, institutional and technical requirements of MSFD and facilitate effective decision making for future steps of its implementation in Turkey. The project consists of 2 parallel groups of activities:
- Component 1 - Technical and administrative capacity building for future transposition and implementation of MSFD
- Component 2 – Steps towards to the implementation of the Directive in selected areas of Turkey (Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea).
Requirements: · Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or PhD) in the field of Marine Environment. · At least 15 years of professional experience in the marine environmental field. · At least one project management experience as a team leader and/or project manager in implementation of EU projects in member, candidate or potential candidate countries. · At least 2 years of professional experience on implementation of Marine Strategy Framework Directive 2008/56/EC (MSDF). · Working experience on at least one project related to Regional Sea Conventions. Please note that all relevant professional experiences needs to be supported with relevant documents (references, employers certificates, diplomas). Assignment details: · Approx. 260 working days (majority in Ankara). · Duration: June 2016 – February 2018. · Package: daily fee, flights, housing allowance, insurance, local office support and team in place.
