Description |
Exciting and unique opportunity to lead, manage and deliver the National Lottery Heritage Fund funded Tamara Landscape Partnership Scheme, located in the beautiful Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We're looking for a skilled project or environmental manager to head up a skilled team of 5 staff and up to 10 specialist contractors and consultants to ensure delivery of 10 exciting projects covering ecological, heritage and community development themes over the next 4 years, with a total budget of almost £2.5 million. You'll be expected to lead and maintain effective working relationships with the organisations that make up the Tamara Partnership, consisting of community development, environmental and heritage organisations and a wider network of community groups, businesses and individuals. Key requirements of this opportunity include ensuring overall programme delivery and achieving agreed individual project outputs and outcomes. You will maintain financial oversight and coordinate our reports to funders and stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to maximise the scheme successes and to improve any areas of under-performance, coordinating and interpreting evaluation data, and to develop and deliver a lasting legacy for the communities and environment of this special landscape. Fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our vision for Cornwall. In order to best serve our communities, we are striving to achieve a diverse workforce that is inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures and identities; e.g. race, disability, sex, gender, age, religion and sexual orientation. We are an equal opportunities and Disability Confident employer, and we will assess applicants on their merits. Cornwall Council is committed to safeguarding and following safer recruitment principles to help make sure our staff and volunteers are suitable to work with children, young people and adults at risk. It’s a vital part of creating a safe and positive environment and making a commitment to keeping all service users safe from harm. Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified, the current Government guidance around social distancing and our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process. This is a fixed term contract to February 2026 due to additional funding. This position will be subject to a criminal record disclosure check. Closing Date: 20th December 2021 |
