Job description

 

Responsibilities

You will manage and develop a vibrant project team providing sustainability support to:

-          planning authorities and regional government to help them define and implement sustainable energy and sustainability policies

-          developers/architects to assist them assess sustainable energy and wider sustainability options for their sites

-          social housing providers to help them assess sustainable energy and wider sustainability options for both their new build and existing individual schemes

-          social housing providers to develop strategy across their corporate and entire housing stock to reduce environmental impact

 

Your overall responsibilities will be to:

  • Successfully manage and inspire the technical team - contributing to their personal development, regular training and performance management
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to excellent standards
  • Implement the marketing strategy for the business and ensure that the challenging revenue targets for FY10/11 are met

 

Duties

Your duties will include but won’t be limited to:

  • Manage the schedule of projects within the team to ensure that realistic deadlines are given to clients and to manage priorities
  • Provide team members with support on project delivery and undertake quality assurance
  • Prepare proposals and bids in response to individual client requirements or wider national projects
  • Contribute to the business strategy for the team
  • Maintain and develop key client relationships
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects as and when required
  • Monitor and report team performance to the Division Director
  • Encourage self-development and organise work in order to maintain satisfaction and stability within the team
  • Undertake performance review process for each team member
