Sustainability Officer

WWT HQ, Slimbridge

15 Hours per week

£21,697 - £22,839 pro rata

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a leading wetland conservation organisation saving wetlands for wildlife and people across the world.  We have a network of visitor centres dedicated to engaging people with wetlands and their wildlife including over 2,000 hectares of wetland habitats.

We are looking for a Sustainability Officer to make sure WWT is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible whilst adhering to sustainability best practice. This will be achieved through monitoring our environmental performance, chairing the Sustainability Committee and supporting departments and centres to deliver projects that meet our sustainability targets. The promotion of sustainability projects and providing informative updates to WWT’s management board will be a key part of the role.

The successful candidate will be have experience of project development and management, setting-up and delivering environmental monitoring systems and an ability to create funding bids. A familiarity with MS Office packages, including database management, is essential.
