This position is with a specialist consultancy providing clients with practical solutions to complex problems, which deliver outcomes that are sustainable, innovative and transformational. Its dedicated team aims to bring together best in class providers and offer services that challenge established ways of working and thinking and provide different solutions which add value. They embed sustainability into all the services they offer and therefore support the delivery of high quality and inspirational buildings, which have lower operating costs, reduced environmental impact and provide healthy, comfortable and productive environments for occupants and the wider community. The focus is to always add value to a project whether at pre-construction stage, delivering BREEAMs and POEs or providing training and development opportunities for staff and members of the supply chain. It also provides support to develop solutions to sustainability strategies. They bring to the Group in-house creative, inspirational thinking and production across a variety of media - film, video and events, design, print and exhibitions, interactive eLearning and web.
Urgently required to join this expanding multidisciplinary sustainability consultancy with national coverage, are two Sustainability Consultants, ideally with experience in undertaking BREEAM assessments and sustainability appraisals.
Ideal candidates for this role will have the following:-
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree
- Relevant professional qualifications
- A full driving licence
- Previous experience in the sustainability field, preferably gained within a consultancy environment. The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:
- Proven track record in delivering sustainability appraisals,
- Understanding of sustainability issues in the construction sector,
- Up-to-date and in depth knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation, at corporate and project level,
- Knowledge of drivers and legislative framework surrounding sustainability.
Duties of the role include:
- Developing and delivering sustainability measures;
- Undertaking sustainability appraisals;
- Managing multidisciplinary teams on multidisciplinary sustainability projects;
- Working with Developers and corporate clients;
- Project management;
- Business development;
- Training.
This is an exciting role for a Sustainability Consultant to join this young and dynamic team. Joining one of the UK's leading specialist sustainability consultancies you will be working on various projects for corporate clients to understand and achieve sustainability issues. The successful candidate will work along side professionals from other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
The role will involve developing and delivering sustainable solutions, developing and delivering sustainability training, undertaking sustainability appraisals and also undertaking and managing BREEAM (and similar) assessments.
