RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with greenhouse gas emission inventories, provide regulatory compliance support for EPA’s Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule (EPA MRR), and provide support for voluntary climate change programs.
  • Assist with industrial energy efficiency evaluations
  • Assist with corporate sustainability benchmarking and strategies; assist with providing external assurance on sustainability reports, information and data;
  • Assist with life cycle assessment studies;
  • Provide water/wastewater engineering support;
  • Assist with EHS industrial compliance including auditing, advisory services, supporting mergers and acquisitions for due diligence projects that incorporate EHS components.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree candidate in a relevant field, e.g. engineering, information management, economics or natural sciences desired.
  • Strong interest in sustainability issues and motivation for continued learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with standard office software applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Life Cycle Assessment activities and familiarity with Climate Change regulations and voluntary reporting programs.
  • Knowledge of EHS management and environmental management systems.
  • Masters degree candidates preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience or interest with international Sustainability Standards such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, the Global Reporting Initiative, Equator Principles, UN Global Compact etc.
