Supply Chain Account Manager, Berlin

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is seeking a highly motivated individual to recruit and account manage corporations as part of the CDP Supply Chain program. The position will be based in our Berlin office.

You will be responsible for driving change in thousands of companies that make up the supply chain of European companies by encouraging them to measure and manage their GHG emissions and climate change risks and opportunities. This will be achieved through a combination of exceptional account management and successful expansion of the membership program in Europe. As a key member of the dynamic CDP Supply Chain team you will be expected to organise roundtables, forums, reports and other events that add value to the members. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone with strong sales and relationship management skills and a desire to promote sustainable business practices and avoid dangerous climate change.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• a proven track record in membership sales
• 3-5 years account management experience with a business background
• an ability to interact effectively with high level management
• excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• self-motivation and an ability to take the initiative
• understanding of CDP Supply Chain and climate change impact on business
• a positive and enthusiastic outlook even whilst working under pressure
• attention to detail whilst being able to see the big picture
• strong English and German (another European language would be an advantage)

Main responsibilities

Applicants will be responsible for:

• dedicated account management of existing and new corporate members
• recruitment of new members through a combination of approaches such as leveraging existing CDPrelationships, cold calling, networking and presenting at conferences
• delivering and developing the CDP Supply Chain process for those accounts
• working closely with CDP Germany to encourage the promotion of all CDP programmes and activities to corporate contacts

The successful candidate will work 5 days per week with occasional weekend or evening work where necessary.
